With some exceptions (like KCD2 or Doom Dark Ages), I rarely play graphically intense games, and even these look good at medium/high settings. Does anyone else feel that perhaps having the best rig contradicts their actual real world usage? To make matters worse, I upgraded from a 4080 Super to a 5090, which in hindsight I shouldn't have done (although I did manage to sell the 4080 super for $1000 and broke even on that)
This contradiction in my case goes even further, I have an ultrawide OLED with latest HDR support but still run everything in SDR just because… no particular reason hence why I'm thinking why did I buy this high-end hardware when I'm barely using it (although Tru Black is pretty nice) – I mean I'm mostly doing office work on my ultrawide OLED, completely overkill for outlook and microsoft word with a side of gaming
I only wonder this now with the launch of the Steam machine, which seems grossly under-powered by comparison but I can see me having a lot of "fun" on it so to speak
Edit: The game on the right is Disco Elysium, which contains themes around Capitalism/Communism, there's some hidden irony to all of this
