I've played this game problem free for years but the other day I went to load it and when it got to the intro I couldn't skip it. Pressing anything on my keyboard does nothing. The intro just keeps going and my keyboard seemingly isn't recognized.
Press F1 brings up the screen that's attached to this post. I'm able to navigate to QUIT TO DESKTOP with my mouse and just continue that routine over and over again.
I've tried different keyboards and they're all exhibiting the same behavior. I'm typing on computer that has the game installed so it's not a keyboard issue. Heck, I even got desperate and installed Battlefield and it's terrible but at least it recognizes my keyboard.
Has anyone had a similar issue and found a fix?
I'm on Windows 11 Pro and all updates are up-to-date. I've uninstalled the game once and reinstalled it. I've run the repair option numerous times. I've checked and checked that there aren't any pending updates to the game itself. So I'm at a loss.
Please someone help.
