It is confirmed. Pack a Punching your gun reduces your recoil significantly.
Method:
1) The two patterns on the left were done with the MXR, with NO recoil attachments and NO Pack A Punch. Both tests were done from the same distance (3.6m from the door buy ping)
• One of the left recoil patterns was done without Deadshot and one with Deadshot. Just wanted to confirm that Deadshot wasn’t a factor as its description also states that it boosts “ADS precision” and as you can see Deadshot has NO EFFECT on your gun’s recoil.
2) The three patterns on the right were also done with the MXR, with NO recoil attachments but this time with Pack A Punch.
• One of the plots were done with Deadshot, the other two were NOT.
• The MXR does get 60 rounds after pack a punch (Base had a 30 round mag) so the testing on the right was also done with 30 rounds per recoil plot.
Conclusion: As you can see, and as most of us had guessed from my last post, our theory that Pack A Punching your gun reduces your recoil was correct. I have no real way of testing by how much, but I would guess it would change the recoil numbers (vertical, horizontal, kick) back to its base values, similar if not identical to the multiplayer numbers.
• Let’s say you achieved 10° of vertical, horizontal and gun kick on a setup on multiplayer. (Via Advanced Stats)
• Now that SAME GUN SETUP from multiplayer, on zombies would show higher recoil, for example 20° for all three recoil stats on the advanced stats. (Which it would because the advanced stats show that for some reason the guns have more recoil than it’s identical multiplayer counterparts)
• My theory is that after pack a punching the gun, the recoil numbers would be similar if not identical to the recoil numbers you would get using that setup in multiplayer. So that same setup that is showing 10° of recoil in multiplayer, and showing 20° of recoil in zombies, would then return back to 10° after you PAP it.
Either ways, it’s weird why they did it like that. I’m hoping it’s a bug but for now just PAP the gun ASAP. If it has a bunch of attachments that reduce recoil, it should be a laser after you PAP it.
(Free Tip: for all you Deadshot Spammers, put on as many recoil reducing attachments and USE THE STRELOK LASER. Thank me later)
