Hold off on this ‘Prime only’ offer
(Image credit: Future / Duncan Robertson)
The Manba One is taking a Prime-only 10% discount at Amazon this week, but there’s just one problem. It’s been cheaper in the past, and those offers were open to everyone.
The multiplatform PC / Switch gamepad has been as cheap as $55.99 in the past, for a full $14 off the $69.99 MSRP. Not only that, but this is a well-trodden sales price, repeatedly popping up throughout the year. It was last spotted in September, but has been around nearly every month before that.
It’s still worth keeping this one on the backburner, though. It’s one of Duncan’s favorite controllers, thanks in part to its handy customization panel. That means onboard controls rather than having to rely on a whole separate app or software.

Will the Nintendo Switch 2 be on sale for Black Friday?
It’s the question on everyone’s lips following Nintendo’s successor console launching in the summer. Unfortunately, though, I don’t see the Nintendo Switch 2 taking too many discounts on Black Friday – in the US anyway.
In the UK, we’re already seeing bundles taking their own price cuts, with Mario Kart World packages coming close to that £395 RRP with the free game included (£409 at Currys). While we’re yet to actually go below launch price with any discounts, value is pretty high already.
Across the ocean, things aren’t quite rolling in the same way. I generally see more bundles in the UK than in the US, but I haven’t seen a single discount on Mario Kart World or Pokemon bundles in the states. Nintendo hardware holds its value for a long time – it took years for the original console to see any serious savings.

This is the year’s top gaming laptop, and it’s over $500 off
The HP Omen Max 16 is the best rig I’ve tested in 2025, and its spicy RTX 5080 OLED configuration is now $510 off at Best Buy. That’s dropping the lofty $3,159.99 MSRP all the way down to $2,649.99 this week, a solid rate considering you’re picking up premium components in a particularly well built chassis.
The only downside of this machine from my testing came in the keyboard. It’s a little mushier than I would expect from a premium rig, but the performance, build quality, and screen all make up for it.

My favorite full-sized gaming keyboard has been $20 cheaper, but only once
Save for a brief dip down to $179 in September, the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro is generally only ever on sale for $199.99. In fact, it’s only deviated from its $249 MSRP a handful of times over the course of the year so far.
This one’s a roll of the dice, then. That additional saving was only available for a day max, but it could well return when Black Friday gets in full swing at the end of the month. This is a solid rate on a rarely discounted board today, but it’s still a premium model. I’d hold the line here, and keep a close eye on those numbers over the next few weeks.

Xbox controllers are under $40 at Walmart
I wasn’t expecting to see Xbox controllers back at their usual $39.99 sales prices this year, but here we are. Microsoft upped the rates on these gamepads earlier in the year and discounts haven’t been quite so forthcoming in recent months. Still, Walmart has the basic controller for $25 off sticker price in its own early Black Friday deals.
You’re not getting any of the extra customization options you would with more pro-rated gamepads, so if you want a little more personalization I’d recommend holding off and waiting for some GameSir discounts. However, for an extra multiplayer option with seamless connectivity, this is looking pretty sturdy.

Be wary of this RTX 5080 gaming laptop deal
This MSI Vector might be one of the cheapest RTX 5080 gaming laptop deals I’ve seen this Black Friday season so far. It’s got a dirty secret, though. There’s only 16GB RAM inside. That’s going to be tough to reconcile with such a powerful GPU and processor pairing, especially considering this slimline machine is already going to chop some of those framerates down.

My favorite gaming tablet just got even cheaper
I was celebrating a $1,999.99 sales price on the Asus ROG Flow Z13 just last week, and now it’s $50 cheaper. That’s an excellent rate on a super powerful Windows tablet. It’s a premium option, but if you’re looking to combine a gaming laptop with something a little more portable it’s a worthy investment. The 13.4-inch panel ran everything from Avowed to Indiana Jones without a sweat in my testing, all thanks to that super efficient Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chipset.
You’ll find the Asus ROG Flow Z13 for $1,949.99 at Best Buy right now, a brand new record-low price and a $450 discount.

RIP that Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 deal
Best Buy seems to have walked back all of its discounts on the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 today, after offering as much as $350 off the 2025 release earlier in the week. That’s disappointing for now, but it’s to be expected.
I constantly see retailers rotating through discounts in the weeks leading up to official Black Friday deals. Those savings will return, just sit tight.

Save $30 on one of Duncan’s go-to controllers
(Image credit: Future / Duncan Robertson)
The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro doesn’t see all too many discounts, usually holding firm at its $199.99 MSRP. The speed-focused gamepad is down to $169.99 in Amazon’s early Black Friday deals this week, though, a return to a record-low I’ve only seen once before (and only at the start of the month).
You’re getting one of Duncan’s highest rated controllers here, with that classic Razer pedigree baked into an Xbox Series X / PC chassis. We called this “the best controller this brand has ever produced,” and it’s currently our top recommendation for anyone hunting down a competitive set of buttons.
That’s four particularly well balanced back buttons as well as two additional bumpers and a carry case thrown in for good measure.

Amazon’s pulling a sneaky on the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless
I see you Amazon. Retailers do this all time time, hike up prices ahead of an event just so that they can discount them with a bang later on down the line. It’s the oldest trick in the book, and SteelSeries is working it to the bone this Black Friday.
The Nova Pro Wireless has been sat at between $280 and $330 all. year. round. It’s almost never been the full $379 – after all, while this is the best set of cups on the market, it’s been around for a long time now. That’s not to mention, before 2025, this launched at a $349.99 MSRP.
We’re above that launch price now, which likely means a discount is coming in the next few weeks. When that saving does appear, it’s important to remember that the lowest price I’ve seen so far is $250, and this year’s best price at Amazon was $257.

The Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightstick is down to $109.99 at Best Buy and Amazon right now, for a $30 discount on its original $139.99 MSRP. If you’re going for value for money in terms of extra buttons, features, and controls, this is absolutely where you should be heading this week.
The VelocityOne is cheaper than high-end options from Thrustmaster but still manages to feel premium and offers a fantastic entry level and mid-range experience. Turtle Beach’s stick is already priced well considering its look, feel, and offering, but things are looking a little better in this week’s early Black Friday deals.

The Razer Barracuda X is a favorite of mine. No nonsense, no fuss, just an easy plug and play wireless headset at a great price. And that cost just dropped back to a well-worn position.
The multiplatform headset has returned to $69 at Amazon this week, for $30 off its $99.99 MSRP. This isn’t a new discount, but it is one that generally only returns during major sale events. If you’re after a versatile and subtle design without compromising on gaming latency, this is a must-see.

The SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds are at the top of my list whenever a major sale rolls through town. These earbuds absolutely blew me away in testing and are still hooked into my ears for every Switch 2 session, dog walk, or train journey. There’s just one problem right now.
Amazon’s 14% ‘deal’ is looking a little weak. The site has these buds at $172.43 right now, for a minor discount over the original $199.99 MSRP. I’ve seen them down at $127.99 in the past – as recently as October in fact.
That means this is a deal you’ll want to sit on for a little while. That sub-$130 price has been spotted only a couple of times this year so far, but I’m still confident we’ll see something similar over the course of the month.

The Flexispot E7 Plus is $330 off in the brand’s own sale this week, that means you’re getting Phil’s favorite gaming desk for most players at just $469.99. This is a fully motorized system, with a handy control panel on the right edge, with a sturdy four-leg design to boot. That means you’re getting a stockier design than the Flexispot E7 Pro I’m using, but if you’ve got a heavier system up top it may be worth the peace of mind.

The Razer Blade 16 is on sale as well
The Razer Blade 16 is joining the Blade 14 in its Black Friday deals, with an extra $100 off the previous record-low price on an RTX 5060 configuration. That means you can pick up the gaming laptop with the best display I’ve tested yet for $1,699.99 (previously $2,399.99).
I’ve seen this rig drop only as low as $1,799.99 in the past and that was only last month. It’s since jumped back up the price scale, only to fall again in these early offers.
The Blade 16 is an expensive rig still – you can find RTX 5060 gaming laptops for closer to $1,000 if you sacrifice that luxury build quality and display. However, if you’re going for style and immersion over sky-high framerates this is going to be well worth a look.

The Razer Naga V2 Pro has been cheaper, but not for two years
The Razer Naga V2 Pro is one of the more expensive gaming mice on the market at $179.99, but today’s early Black Friday deals at Amazon have dropped that rate down to $159.99. I don’t see discounts on this model all too often, so if you can’t possibly wait any more this is still a fair deal – but it can go cheaper.
Granted, it’s only been less than this once before today – and that was two years ago. It sailed down to $128.53 in a random flash sale in summer 2023, but has been up at $180 ever since. This one’s a toss up.
On the one hand, it’s rare to find the Naga V2 Pro on sale at all. On the other, its age could push for further discounts over Black Friday 2025. If you need a mouse now, this is a solid bet, otherwise it’s worth keeping a close eye on this one.

The 240Hz QD-OLED panel runs at a boosted QHD resolution, and is actually Phil’s favorite 1440p panel overall. It’s currently down to $529.99 at Amazon, for a full $270 off the final price. That’s a return to a record-low rate I’ve seen a handful of times this year.

The Epson Mini EF22 is $350 off, but it can get cheaper
I love this little projector. The swivel stand, the easy controls, the solid 1080p picture quality – it’s adorable and versatile in equal measure. Amazon has been discounting this lifestyle device for a few months now, and while today’s $648 sales price may look good next to the $999.99 MSRP those numbers have further to fall.
I’ve seen the Epson EF-22 down at $599.99 in the past, during the site’s Big Deal Days event last month. Before that this was a $799.99 machine even when on sale, today’s rate is technically an improvement on what I’ve been seeing for most of the year.
If it hadn’t dropped lower this time last month, I’d have happily recommended today’s $648 sale price to anyone after some big-screen entertainment. With the lure of that extra $50 off, though, this is one to watch.

Make sure you know what you’re getting with this gaming laptop deal
This HP Victus is beginning to look like the budget Black Friday gaming laptop deal of the season, but there’s something you should note first, it’s one generation behind in its GPU. At $549.99 it’s certainly down to a solid rate – you won’t find an RTX 50-Series machine that cheap for a little while yet. Not only that, but the RTX 4050 does still have its place on the market – but only for a slightly niche use-case.
This is going to be a grail if you’re after an everyday laptop first and foremost, but you also happen to play a few lighter games on the side. However, it’s worth noting that you won’t be getting the power needed to run the latest games at high settings here, not without some serious downgrades to texture quality and other graphical effects.
If you’re primarily after a gaming machine, I’d shoot for something with at least an RTX 5060 or RTX 4070 (at the right price) under the hood.

These older SteelSeries gaming mice aren’t quite cheap enough yet
Best Buy has the SteelSeries Aerox 5 and SteelSeries Aerox 9 on the shelves for $50 and $60 off respectively. That’s not quite enough for me.
The cheapest model, the Aerox 5, is down to $119.99 from $169.99, but this ‘ultra lightweight’ pointer has been overtaken by more recent releases and has dropped to $84.99 in the past. No bueno.
Similarly the Aerox 9 has been a whole $40 cheaper than its current $129 sales price in previous offers, and that 89g weight ages it considerably – that’s even with uncomfortable honeycomb plating on the back.
If you’re set on the design I’d keep an eye on these over the next few weeks, otherwise the Corsair Sabre V2 Pro Ultralight should be at the top of your list for a true lightweight device and the Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE is your MMO go-to.

If you had asked me a few weeks ago whether Donkey Kong Bananza would be one of the first Nintendo Switch 2 deals I wrote about this Black Friday I would have laughed. This is a major first-party Nintendo release for a new generation system, I wouldn’t have thought those numbers would budge for anyone.
And yet Woot has the $69.99 physical edition for $61.99 this week. That’s a smaller $9 saving, but considering how well Switch games hold their value it’s a must-see. Having just finished the smash-platformer, it’s a thumbs up from me.

The PlayStation Portal just got a new update and an (open box) price cut
Best Buy has open box PlayStation Portal devices back on the shelves for as little as $139.99. That’s the price I recommend most players look out for when considering the remote player.
That’s because this isn’t a full handheld, it’s an accessory – and $200 is a bit steep for a second PS5 screen. The latest update does bring streaming for your entire digital library (not just select games included in PS Plus Premium), but this is generally going to be a companion piece.
I bought mine second hand at about this price, and have never looked back. I’d be a little disappointed if I spent the full $200.

Don’t sleep on that cheap gaming mouse
The Razer Basilisk V3 is one of my Black Friday staples. As soon as the one I’ve been running gives out I’ll be right back there grabbing a new one. Still, this affordable rodent has been with me since 2021 and it’s still holding on strong.
That $69.99 MSRP hasn’t been seen for a long time now, but Amazon’s current $35.99 sale price still represents an additional saving over its usual position. This pointer is generally somewhere between $40 and $50 without Black Friday looming over it and it’s fantastic value at $35.99.
The larger body and bountiful extra buttons make for a comfortable but still feature-packed experience, if you don’t mind a cord sticking out the front. It’s been one of my favorite gaming mice for years now, and I don’t see it losing its position to any newcomers any time soon.
