I don’t know what is going on with creating male miqo’te in the writing room of Final Fantasy XIV, but they’re almost universally annoying NPCs I hate interacting with or they’re perfect cinnamon roll G’raha Tia. I guess Koana is fine, too. But the rest of them just make me want to get out the squirt bottle and ship them off to the vet. They’re just not good characters and I don’t care for them in the least. They’re annoying.
There are some NPCs people dislike due to various story beats, and I can understand that, but I feel like that’s also in a different category. I don’t care for how badly Sylvanas was mischaracterized for a couple of expansions, sure, but at least she’s not the seemingly never-ending extension of a joke that was never all that funny like Hemet Nesignwary.
