I’m finally ready to start building my first gaming PC! I was originally planning to go with an AMD setup, but I have a Dell 7000 series that recently died. The CPU — an Intel i9 12th Gen — is still intact.
Now I’m wondering: should I use the i9 as a donor CPU to save some money, or is it not really meant for gaming? If it’s still a solid option, what parts should I pair with it to make a decent gaming build?
