The SNK World Championship 2025 is finally upon us and it will be happening at the venue of DreamHack Atlanta, that is to say in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.
There’s lots of players qualified for the different games being played at the event and we’ll give you a full rundown on them further down, but for just a sampling we’ll be seeing legends such as Falcons|Xiaohai, DFM|Go1, Reject|Laggia, Falcons|E.T., CAG|Fenrich, CR|MadKOF, Reject|Score, Falcons|Tamago, Saishunkan|Nemo, ViolentKain and QAD|Wero Asamiya competing this weekend.
The titles being played at the event are Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, King of Fighters 15, Samurai Shodown and Art of Fighting 3 with all of them having absolutely gargantuan prize pools at stake.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is offering a prize pool to the tune of $2,500,000 followed by King of Fighters with a $1,000,000 prize pool, Samurai Shodown with a total sum of $500,000 at stake for the players and finally Art of Fighting 3, which is an open bracket unlike the other competitions, offering $100,000 in total.
Each of the three main games have had qualifiers going on for the last year (last two years in the case of King of Fighters 15) and it’s finally time to crown champions in each game. Each of them will also have a Last Chance Qualifier being played out during the event’s first day, in tandem with the early rounds of the main brackets.

Due to certain players not being able to attend, a few more Last Chance Qualifier spots have opened up for each game, with 5 spots available each for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and Samurai Shodown and 4 spots available for King of Fighters 15.
The Last Chance Qualifiers have solid entrant numbers as well. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has more than 175 signups followed by King of Fighters 15 with more than 100 entrants and Samurai Shodown sitting at just short of 100 participants. The open bracket for Art of Fighting 3, meanwhile, reached over 130 players.
