In its latest statement, the SKG crew revealed that 689,035 out of 1,448,270 signatures, just over 47%, have been verified, meeting the required threshold in 15 EU countries. At present, Germany and France, the two largest union members, have yet to meet the criteria, however, the team notes that based on their progress so far, they are confident the initiative will reach the threshold there as well.

The team also highlighted that they have held extensive discussions with members of the European Parliament, national governments, political party representatives, and the EU Commission, with some reaching out to SKG directly, over the past few months.

Perhaps the most significant revelation made by SKG is that they are actively seeking backing from industry experts, emphasizing that having politicians, lobbyists, and developers on board is invaluable, while stressing the need to address challenging questions credibly without depending on costly consulting firms.
