Patch 1.0.1.2 was recently dropped for 2XKO. This ended up being a fairly minor patch that mostly focused on fixing some unintended interactions, but it did technically toned down Yasuo’s damage output a little bit.
According to Leffen’s latest tier list for 2XKO, Yasuo is now at best the fourth best character as Ekko, Teemo and Ahri are now considered to be better characters. However, the character usage stats for the Challenger rank appears to say otherwise.
Based on stats gathered by AlietteFaye, Yasuo and Ekko remain the most commonly used team at the highest levels of competition. In fact, the combination of Yasuo and Ekko is used more than twice as often as any other team.
Yasuo and Ekko are used together by a total of 34 players in the Challenger rank. The second most popular team this high up the leaderboard is apparently Teemo and Yasuo, though they’re only being used by 16 players. The next two combinations — Ahri and Ekko as well as Teemo and Ekko — are being used by 12 players each.
Individually, it would seem that Ekko is the most common character being used, but it’s mostly due to his amazing assists. Yasuo is most used point character, though Teemo is also being used almost just as often.
In terms of the available Fuses, 2X Assist, Double Down and Freestyle are seem to be fairly balanced with each other right now. Sidekick and Juggernaut are seeing almost no play in the Challenger rank, but these Fuses are clearly intended to be beginning friendly rather than competitively viable.
