for Black Ops 7’s Warzone season Raven is bringing back Blackout from BO4.
this in my opinion is a good move, however it is reliant on how they handle it.
Warzone should’ve stuck with the Modern Warfare III iteration in terms of movement and locomotion like redeploy balloons/drones. Omnimovement has never felt right in Warzone over the past year.
Omnimovement and more importantly Black Ops 7 movement (remove tac sprint) should be implemented for the new maps Haven’s Hallow and Avalon.
this change would further make Warzone and Blackout feel like two separate games, where the Tac-Sprint movement from MWIII better suits Warzone and Omnimovement from BO7 better suits Blackout.
it is probably an impossible task to actually implement as the Warzone integration is completely entangled into whichever game is the current, but if it is possible this would add much more replay value.
getting bored of Rebirth? switch to Avalon with Omnimovement, and vice versa.
ultimately i think Omnimovement has no place in Warzone and has felt pretty awful since its introduction last year.
