I’ve got a 13900K with a Z790 AORUS ELITE and Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000 CL40 (2×32 GB =64).
I’m thinking of buying the exact same kit again to reach 128 GB (4×32).
I’ve read super mixed opinions.
The computer-store that built my rig told me “don’t do it, DDR5 with 4 sticks is unstable and will tank performance.”
From what I understand online (but not sure), it’s basically a roulette – it might work fine at a slightly lower speed, or it might be completely unstable.
Has anyone here actually run 4×32 DDR5 on Z790 13900k successfully?
Did you have to lower the frequency or deal with crashes?
Or should I just leave current kit and buy a single 2×64 GB instead?
