There may be fewer people watching Capcom Cup 12 next year with the decision to make the event pay-per-view, but it’s still going to go down regardless with a lot of money on the line.
Following the completion of Evo France 2025 last week, there’s only one offline Premier tournament left for the Capcom Pro Tour 2025 season, and a lot of strong players are still on the bubble for qualifying to the finals.
After ditching the global points avenue for a few years, general strong performances are back as a way to make it into Capcom Cup in Street Fighter 6.
Capcom recently updated their CPT point standings for the top 16 players, and there’s probably a number of players you’d probably be surprised aren’t in the finals already.
Only six slots are open to the global leaderboard, so this last Premier is going to matter significantly, however, there will still be avenues to qualify after through the World Warrior circuit.
Those top six competitors are currently Zeta|Momochi, AMG|Kobayan, Dual Kevin, FAV|Ryukichi, DFM|Itabashi Zangief and Mouz|EndingWalker.
That leaves players like FLY|Punk, FAV|Moke, KSG|Zhen, Liquid|Nephew, NIP|Phenom, Reject|Tokido, AEGIS|Mister Crimson and more still outside on the bubble.
Whoever wins the Premier will of course automatically punch their ticket to Capcom Cup next year, but there’s a lot of room still for the standings to be shaken up by this last offline event.
There is 300 points on the line for coming in second place, which could bump up someone like JAK or Bonchan from 31st place up to the final qualifying spot if things work out in their favor.
We currently only have 14 out of the 48 players who will end up at Capcom Cup 12 including this year’s winner Zeta|Kakeru with 2G|Blaz being the latest to join their ranks from his second place finish at Evo France since DRX|Leshar had already previously qualified.
Once again, the grand prize for winning the next Capcom Cup will be $1 million followed by $100,000 for second place and $50,000 for third, so there’s a lot of life-changing money up for grabs.
The final CPT offline Premier is just a few weeks away at FightClub Championship VI Chengdu in China set to run from October 31 through November 2, and you can expect pretty much everyone on the bubble to be there.
Capcom Cup 12 is set to go down from March 11–14, 2026 in Tokyo, Japan.
