Asking because I've heard a ton of complaining about Swiss format in both this subreddit during the Austin major and in r/leagueoflegends right now during Worlds.
Apparently DOTA 2 is also using the Swiss format for their big annual tournament (The International) but with a twist: it takes 4 wins to advance and 4 losses to be eliminated, and the 3-2/2-3 teams pair off in a last-chance elimination Bo3 to decide advancement to the knockout stage. I don't have a good visualizer of the Swiss bracket complete with result for TI.
