After like 7 years I've decided to upgrade my setup, back then I built a high-end setup too. But the way I like to play games, I kept noticing more and more that the system was aging for my needs. And what I thought was a "broken PSU" ended up being the trigger for me, p.s. it was not a broken PSU but rather an unstable overclock due to the summer heat 😅.
It has been a wild ride, having to return the 5070Ti I got, since the middle fan would ramp up to crazy random RPM speeds when it got instructed to run at 30/31%. But then I got lucky because I managed to get a 5080 at MSRP. Also having to return the first side monitor I got, because it had a dead/stuck pixel dead center…
But now we're here with an almost fully upgraded setup, the only thing I still for sure want to do is add a Gen 4 or Gen 5 NVMe drive. Since currently I moved over my Gen 3 drive (I should've put it in a Gen 4 slot on the mobo, not the only Gen 5 slot…). And I might want to add an exhaust and an intake fan at the top, according to the fan research Noctua did. But honestly the CPU and GPU are already at really good temps currently at what they're undervolted/overclocked too, so not really needed.
