I purchased a PHN16-71 Acer Predator Neo Core i7-13700HX, RTX 4050 6GB, 16 GB RAM & 1TB SSD last year on 29 September from Flipkart. Now it's heating like hell. CPU temperature reaches upto 100°C while playing anything from GTA V to Assassin's Creed Odyssey. I play in an air conditioned room but still no improvements of temperature. I complained to Acer Customer Care and they sent a service engineer. He opened the laptop, cleaned the fans. But still no improvements, it's still heating. Even in bios, CPU temperature goes upto 91°C. The strange thing is that it's all happening since last 15-20 days. I don't use internet much so I haven't updated my Windows. It is still in version 22H2. What could be the issue ? Does it need CPU thermal repasting or is there any issue with charging brick ? I even asked the service engineer to change the liquid metal thermal paste on CPU, but he insisted that it needs to be changed after 3-4 years. The first pic where the CPU temperature is 75° is when the laptop is unplugged.
