If Steam approval was a fighting game match, then Ship of Heroes was basically that player who keeps getting knocked out but requesting a rematch over and over until he secures a win. As we’ve been covering, Heroic Games has had to delay the launch of its superheroic MMORPG multiple times as a result of its inability to pass several requirements imposed by Valve to get the game and its subscription model onto the storefront. But now every demand has been met, and the game is now confirmed for launch on Monday, September 22nd.
While Heroic Games apologized for any inconvenience the month-long delay may have caused players, it also pointed out that it has been putting that time to good use, applying several new challenge missions to the game and refining the supergroup (aka guild) feature. Specifics on what these refinements are was not provided, but considering there’s over a week in the run-up to release, we anticipate more details soon, along with information on pricing, which is also not being offered yet.
In the meantime, players are once more being encouraged to wishlist the game on Steam if they haven’t already, as well as participate in a poll to help the devs determine what kinds of missions fans like to take on; respondents have a total of 100 “points” they can allot to different kinds of missions, with higher amounts of points signaling higher interest.
