Mario is officially celebrating his 40th anniversary tomorrow, and Nintendo is recognizing the occasion in style with all sorts of announcements. Today’s Nintendo Direct brought us news on The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, special Mario merch, new and revamped Mario games and so much more. There was a lot for Mario fans to love, but the Big N wasn’t done there.
Over on the Japanese site of things, Nintendo has opened up an official website to celebrate Mario’s 40th anniversary. The website lets fans virtually scroll through a timeline of all of Mario’s major releases over the last 4 decades. Not every Mario game is there, but the mainline titles are certainly represented.
