My daily commute is a killer. I have to move my chair, like,… 3 whole feet. On carpet. I got those big inline skate wheels on my chair tho, so that takes some sting out of it.
Room used to have a more serious music setup in it so I've still got the acoustic treatments and the room has boomy-ness removed for the nearfield on those cheap JBLs. "Most" of everything in that room is midrange or budget.
I sometimes crash on the pink fuzzy sofa that's barely visible, just so I can listen to my albums in the former music room. Hidden under those dust covers are an analog synth and a pretty boutique fuzz board. Cheap amps but really nice tubes in them, you can see the Avatar cab beneath them, and they are both stereo power soaked. So I basically live with my 2 computers and my 2 cats in this room almost all the time, hahaha.
I am a stoner software architect with deployment and management responsibilities so I have tried to make this very technical space as non-clinical as possible. All the routers and network storage and everything is neatly hidden under the giant-ass desk. The gaming machine is vibration-isolated and I run a modest 5070.
Cheers from an OG techie who once programmed with punch cards.
