As per title really, I have had the game in my R* launcher since it came out and an early attempt made me get bored after a few hours of prancing around the massive map thinking it was a slow burn.
How wrong I was, because fast forward several years and the pacing feels perfect, there's always something to do or someone to speak to or something to observe in a way that only Rockstar seem capable of delivering.
This evening I did the saloon chill session with Lennie for just "two" drinks, the amusement that followed was awesome, then I went to find the good Reverand and the antics that followed that mission 😀
The gameplay mechanics and graphics especially on PC are very much stunning, the lighting and volumetrics especially. Had I not known when the game launched then I'd be happy to call it a modern title.
I'm now mentally invested in the game world and its characters and am slightly annoyed as this week sees 2 other games launch (Cronos and Indiana Jones DLC) which I already have on Steam and all I want to do is pile time into RDR2 lol.
