Truth be told, I'm a hardcore Cyberpunk 2077 fan. Only a few games (namely RDR2, Mass Effect trilogy & KCD2) can even come close to having same emotional & immersion impact as this piece of art had and still has on my life.
Cyberpunk 2 after recent interview with Mike Pondsmith seems to be set as a sequel to the game (read 2079-2080s) and within two cities, Night City and "Chicago gone wrong". However, it would be weird to bring back V as the main protagonist as it would discriminate all CP2077 endings but one that CDPR would consider canon – and I hardly believe they'll go down that route.
My money is on a new protagonist with a new story. The question is… do you think that CDPR will be able to outdo their own work again? What angle of a story do you speculate they might be going for? What kind of profession would that main character have and what would be their main goal & nemesis?
