The team at BlueBird Simulations has remained relatively quiet since showcasing their forthcoming 757 in a video trailer on YouTube. However, in response to many customer inquiries, they’ve taken to Facebook to share some news and a few more previews on the aircraft’s development.

According to the post, they are planning just two more video updates before releasing the 757. The first video, an in-depth systems showcase, is expected to debut in Q4 of 2025. The second video update will contain coverage of the EFB, which is the biggest remaining item systems-wise. No timeline was provided for the second video.

In its current state, LNAV and VNAV are approximately 70 percent complete, and the 757 is almost ready to enter the first stages of beta testing. 153 of the 757’s circuit breakers are working, and BlueBird aims to have over 200 functional by the time release rolls around.

According to BlueBird, the major holdup preventing the 757 from going into beta was the pneumatics system, which took far longer than anticipated to complete. Despite the extra development hours, the team is quite proud of the result and deems it well worth the effort. Systems intended for the second stage of beta, including doors, landing gear, and oxygen, are being actively developed and completed simultaneously.

The preview photos showcased in the post (and throughout this article) were all captured in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. BlueBird plans to have an MSFS24-compatible (non-native) variant available for pilots either on or shortly after the release of the 757 for MSFS2020.

They closed out the post by reaffirming the pricing plan for the 757. It will be available for USD 80 | EUR 68,46 | GBP 59.24.

For that price, pilots will receive the 757-200 and -300 with both PW and RR engines for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. A native variant for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is planned “much later” after the initial release.

No release date was provided for the 757, but BlueBird stated that “yes, it will come out before GTA6.”
