HoYoverse has officially unveiled Honkai: Nexus Anima, the latest entry in the Honkai franchise. Alongside the reveal, recruitment has begun for the game’s first closed beta, the Nexus Bond Test, which will be available on PC and iOS. Player registration is open now through September 12.
Originally teased during the Honkai: Star Rail anniversary concert earlier this year, Honkai: Nexus Anima takes place in a world where concepts such as Light and Dark, or Life and Death, have been severed, with their powers scattered in the form of Anima. Nexus refers to the unseen bonds between paired concepts.
Players control a plane-hopping traveler who escapes captivity and begins their journey in a town before venturing outward.
Companionship lies at the heart of the experience. Each Anima embodies its own concept and personality, unlocking skills that can be combined to create notable synergies. These creatures join players in Nexus Battles and exploration, being prominent in both combat and narrative progression.
The Nexus Bond Test will serve as the game’s first closed beta, with all progress subject to a data wipe. Prospective players can sign up via HoYoverse’s official registration page, with selected applicants gaining early access once the test goes live.
