Can't believe I read this beast of a book in 2025, but once I got started it was hard to put down. And the short story anthology format meant that even if a story dragged a bit, it ended soon. Here are some of the tales and authors that jumped out as new (to me, at least) and worth exploring some more in addition to many greats.
- "Operation Daniel" – Kalid Kaki
- "Crispr Than You" – Ganzeer
- "Wi-Fi Dreams" – Fabio Fernandez
- "Aboukela52" – Wole Talabi
- "Keep Portland Wired" – Michael Moss
- "The Endless" – Saad Hossain
- "The Girl Who Was Plugged In" – James Tiptree, Jr. (this author's back story is wild)
- "I Sexually Identify as an Attack Helicopter" – Isabel Fall
So, what have you been reading that you've not been able to put down?
