As above to be to the point. I know it's an old CPU, they run hot etc but it's what I've got to work with so trying to make the most of it.
I've managed to get it somewhat stable, I think, at 4.6ghz all cores and near 25000 on cinebench.
I'm new to overcloking and still learning various settings but I've noticed that the BIOS doesn't actually reflect any changes made, images attached, the settings there stay the same no matter what. Booting up and checking with HW or other software confirms any changes made.
Just wondering is this a bug, something to worry about or just carry on and ignore?
It's an old ROG STRIX X299 Board and an i9 7960X. Temps are max 90C in a cinebench run with most cores in the 80's. Idles around 35
I'd also like to get the temps down but I'm really not sure what else to play with in bios, still learning.
On a cooling loop with liquid metal fyi.
Thanks in advance.
