I was looking for the right moment to raise this issue. About vending machines. This week, a weekly task was added: to use 7 syringes of adrenaline. Usually, tasks are divided into those that require skill and those that are simpler — for example, simply finding an item. But here's the problem: an adrenaline syringe is one of the rarest and most inconspicuous items on the map.
And this is where vending machines come in handy. If the task was to collect 7 large first aid kits, it would be easy to complete in 1-2 games. Large first aid kits sometimes drop from vending machines. But from boosts — only energy drinks and painkillers. There is no adrenaline there and there never has been. So where can the player get these syringes? Search for them all over the map with a microscope?
It feels like ‘search’ tasks are always based on torment rather than interest. Instead of giving players a chance to get a rare item from the same vending machines, they are simply forced to run around and pray for luck.
And most importantly, you are paid for combat passes. So why make the tasks unbearable? Instead of motivating players to complete them and have fun, the opposite effect is achieved — irritation and rejection.
P.S. I just spent an entire battle looking for at least one syringe. I found a third vest, a third backpack, a large first aid kit, and even a third helmet. But no syringes — zero.
