I’m running a Ryzen 7 7700 on an MSI PRO B650M-P with 2x32GB 6400 (so 64GB total, dual-rank). None of the EXPO profiles at 6400 would boot for me, so I just ended up using the second EXPO profile and manually lowered the frequency to 6200 MT/s. It’s stable now, but the timings are super loose: CL42-46-46-90.
Are these timings normal for 2x32GB DR on AM5, or are they just really bad?
Would it be better to stay at 6200 and try to push primaries down a bit (like CL40-44-44), or should I drop to 6000 and aim for something tighter like CL36
Can I actually adjust timings safely inside Ryzen Master, or should I only be doing that in BIOS?
Also, doing this in the BIOS hasn’t been very convenient for me. Whenever I tried the EXPO profiles at 6400, it seemed to trigger some kind of memory training loop I literally sat there for like 30 minutes waiting and eventually had to clear CMOS just to get the system back. That’s why I ended up manually lowering the frequency to 6200 instead
