Contrary to what many believe, the Gulag isn't the problem here. The real issue is the prices, since the map doesn't have contracts, so the cost of the dog tags becomes quite high. How to solve this? Simply cut the price in half until Activision adds contracts to BR.
Stop complaining for the wrong reasons and stop keeping the game stuck in the last decade. While others innovate, you refuse to change instead of taking feedback. It's simple, reduce the inflation and add more buy stations.
I hope the developers read this and instead of resigning themselves and returning everything to zero, they improve the already correctly implemented system for greater frenzy.

Nah they should’ve kept the dog tag scanning and added buy back and gulag in addition. Dealing with enemies camping tags is frustrating and the buy back and gulag feature could’ve been nice additions, but I don’t like them as a complete replacement.
Fr , I have no issue with gulag , the only problem is now to revive you have to spend a lot of cash and normally I would have spent all by the time it’s the end of the match , and these machines are not even inside the safe zone during the last few mins 😭.
Contracts would be amazing. They help you “find”or “be found” by the enemy. Increasing engagement means faster cash flow.
Amazing that Warzone devs got the balance of the cash system/contracts/gulag right the first time.
My problem with gulag is I always am against bots

Verdanks literally have a buy station in the middle of airport runway and in the very edges of the map
They need to add dog tags back **AND** keep the buy station buybacks/Gulag in as well. Randoms are just unbearable with only the new gulag buy back.
Either they don’t know how to buy you back or they intentionally grief and won’t buy you back even though they have tons of cash.
Just not a fun system but maybe it’s too new and people haven’t caught up yet.
The people complaining about the gulag & buy back stations are the sweaty losers who rag camped anyway.
As ppl have been saying, picking dog tags is meant to be a option not a totally removed feature.
Contracts would be a cool addition to BR making a new way to earn cash and being engaged, like opening a certain amount of crates, go to a certain airdrop, take this secret cache from x to y or even bounty would be a cool addition to BR, it would initiate more fights between teams and make BR engaging, not just running around for 15 mins only having one engagement throughout the game with a bot.
Codm BR can be the next big thing.
Just go to an air drop it’ll give you 30k more than enough to buy your precious teammate back
