So I have been a laptop gamer my entire life, but recently when my school and surrounding office buildings there a bunch of old PC in a dumpster, I tried my hand at assembling a PC AND ITS A BEAST, it's made from in old oem PC and it has an i7 13700k and RTX 3070, it's the dell lite hashrate but its still the best PC I've ever owned.

I like the Tux decal there
That’s a pretty clean build! Me personally I’m not a fan of the proprietary nonsense that dell likes to do tho, if you ever have the budget for it a new motherboard and case would be fire. And that 13700k can handle much better GPUs than that 3070 so you have plenty of upgradability! Good find my friend
Man dangit I gotta start dumpster diving or something.
For free ?!?!
That heatisnk is what all the other heatsinks want to be when they grow up.
Put a fan on it and it’ll probably work really well too!
How’s Nvidia GPU doing with linux there?
that’s insane, I’m so jealous
Hopefully the 13th gen i7 doesn’t crap out on you but at least you have a 3070 now
should have got 4 matching sticks of ram. Nice system
I can imagine people posting the grumpy kid saying congrats, happy for you, nice. But genuinely, congrats, happy for you, nice! 🙂
I had a 3070 Ti in my i7-13700k machine before I upgraded to a 5070 Ti. Its a solid combo. It should serve you well. Cant believe someone would throw that in a dumpster.
I hate Dell and hp but I also gotta give credit where credit is do, their gpus are sick!
That’s definitely not something ordinary people throw away.
That’s not old that very modern! Insane someone threw that out! Then again white collar companies, especially those running well, woek with a very different idea of expense. When a project ends it might’ve been simple cleanup work. Still extremely lucky find
Super cool! I am very Happy for your! I would like to find those bumpers on my place…
Congrats!
that cpu looks like it will overheat easily and frequently, i would put fans on the heatsink or replace it with a bigger one with fans
my cpu gets pretty hot sometimes even while being cooled by a front-mounted 280mm aio
