And installing all your apps and configuring settings the way you like feels the opposite

A new era begins.

Only after you take the garbage out

And then you connect to the internet and M$ starts downloading a gorillion of bloatware you’ll never need and uninstall anyways.

Step 1: Install a new, fresh Windows
Step 2: Download all your programs and use it for like a week or two
Step 3: “It’s somehow ugly, and the computer is already starting to lag…”
Repeat.

Maintain this feeling with better organization of files

To me it feels naked, wrong.
I always do lots of customization that takes a while to set up
So reinstalling on my main rig is always a hassle…

Can’t agree.. it’s more like ‘WHERE IS ALL MY SHIT, I WANT TO GO BACK IN THE BLUE ROOM THIS ROOM IS YELLOW!”

Weird, no, not quite. I always feel like it needs two days of tinkering before it feels clean. Over those two days I am just tweaking settings every time some bloat or annoying feature pops up. The UI out of the box is just full of forced innovation and attempts to make users accept Bing. Microsoft has put too much into trying to force the user to behave, and forgotten that the OS is a tool.

You should try windows XP. Soooooo good.

If you have no choice in the matter, then yes
