thankfully I got her off of there and she only restricted airflow for around ~3 minutes and not any longer

My young cat insisted on playing with my pc cables over and over. I could seriously see a huge problem happening. I figured a way to stop her though.

I find it funny nobody ever mentions the problems a pet can have with your pc.

Seen an image where someone put a glass shelf on spacers there so that the cat was warm and the computer could still breathe. Maybe a worth while investment here.

  3. I bet right after sitting there for awhile your cat is going to CHUG water

I have the same case 🙂 I will be installing 2 140mm fans exhausting so it could negate furage of my internals

I can’t tell if this is a big cat or a small PC

  6. You could put some stand offs and screw a metal plate on top so the air can still escape but the plate heats up and the cat gets warm. Also puts some distance from the hair

    That’s a very nice cat, OP. 🐈

Cats.. they like warm things, they like being higher off the ground and they like being with/next to you. It may impact thermals but what you gain is priceless lol

  9. I bet when you’re not around, she will go back there as soon as the system is up and running. 🤣

What do you mean, thats the dedicated cat heating box.

“Only restricted airflow for 3 minutes”

It’s not that deep. Let the cat enjoy the warmth. It’s not going to do any damage to the PC.

  12. Honestly if you have meshes underneath, routinely clean them, and your temps are well within normal range, it’s not THAT big of a deal IMO.

Also your cat is adorable ❤️

U will love cat hair in side pc clogging your video card fan and pc fans 🧐

They sell these plastic pokey mats on Amazon you can cut with scissors to size and put on top of your case. Its what I did. The “pokeys” can’t harm your cat at all; they are just uncomfy. Solved my problem give it a try

You’re no longer the owner of the pc. The cat is lol.

Why do we type like THIS now? Would we not understand what off meant without the caps?

I dunno what to tell you, man. “If I fits, I sits” is an immutable law of the universe up there with “an object in motion…”

  18. BellyDancerUrgot

It’s her property now, she has claimed it from you

  19. Mine has figured out the fastest way for me to hold him is to jump on the PC, because I grab him off there immediately. I only feel like a monster when I’m doing school work, if it’s gaming or the internet, I make sure to give him love.

Typical kitty stuff. If I had to choose between my cats either sitting in the top of my PC or the keyboard, I choose top of PC.

You gave her positive attention while she’s on the warm elevated box.

    It’s over.

  22. It’s a box.  Cats and boxes be like “if I fits I sits.  If I don’t fits, I still sits.”
