I hate how laptops, especially ASUS, has little right to repairability, my ASUS ROG cpu fan has been dead for 3 years now and it thermal throttles like crazy and it definitely impacts the performance and to repair it you need to replace the whole cooling system, the fans and the copper heatpipe and it cost like 150 AUD and i was like, “bro i dont need to change the whole cooling i just need to change that one singular fan” but none of the pc repair store near my place has that fan or can order one, but for PC you can just buy replace one fan for like 10 bucks for a decent one.

Back when I was using a old hand me down laptop I bought a few 1inch thick 5x5inch in area ice packs and switched them out every 30 minutes because they’d melt immediately, getting nostalgic over it now -_-
