I never played it, but I remember the commercial being all over Comedy Central at the time. Was it any good?

yo, I totally remember those commercials, like a fever dream I didn’t ask for, lol. never played it tho cuz back then 9-year-old me was busy breaking my Game Boy and losing on Super Mario like it was an olympic sport. honestly, spend so much time staring at screens lately that my eyeballs might sue me for neglect…just another day in academia, amirite? how did we play games back in the day without our brains melting anyway? 🤯

but burn cycle sounds like exactly what I’m going through this semester, tbh. i swear my life has become a sad montage of caffeine addiction and overdue assignments. wish i could just respawn every monday with full focus points or smth 😂. whoever designed this level of student life seriously needs a patch update. anyway, hope someone here actually played the game and can give a better review than me getting philosophical over retro game ads 😂.

Yeah, it’s pretty great. Replayed it again last week. Shonky acting, wildly ambitious and an incredibly brief final act. Left it open for a sequel that never came. So many leaps in logic and potholes that you can drive a bus through.

The on-rails shooting sections are beyond infuriating, though.

Abtractism is bang on. The music is amazing.

OMG this game made me love cyberpunk. It was more or less the only good game on the CD-i, what a blast from the past. I still listen to the soundtrack sometimes and I would love if this game got remade in a modern engine.

The two hour time limit in the real world was pretty creative, today the game length would make gamers rage about how short it is though.
