The absolutely best arcade racer game to ever do it. The driving was fun, the boost, the takedowns, the soundtrack to set the tone of the game. Just chefs kiss.

two of my favorite arcade racers of all time are Burnout 3 Takedown, and OnRush. id love a remaster or sequel to either.
I would love a new Burnout. Getting along side someone and doing that nudge attack was so satisfying. Also I spent whole evenings playing the crash mode.

Burnout Revenge was my favorite.. and i still listen to that soundtrack. Burnout paradise just never scratched the itch for me .
They can do it in unreal engine. Just allow the devs to spend proper time optimizing. That’s all that makes UE5 games suck ass today.
Legendary game, road rage was the best mode. Played it recently on my steam deck and it still holds up really well!

I love sim racing, but what got me into racing games in general were arcade racers and we just don’t get many good ones it feels like

My favorite part of this game is completely locking in and going insanely fast only to make one flaw and have enough time to say sh–! Before you crash lol
No remaster, they should make a new one but the soundtrack wouldn’t even come close.

EA sitting on these EASY WINS just proves how much they hate money.
Remaster Burnout 3+4 (both versions) and just put a Spotify button in the game instead of paying for music royalties. Instant profit.

High water mark in arcade racers. Just epic.
Burnout on the old GameCube resulted in some of my fondest childhood memories, and it’s a solid introduction to gaming for a kid. Simpler times.

People do know different engines are good/bad at different types of tasks (i.e. games), right?
The whole “unreal engine = bad” is an obscenely reductive opinion that the person saying it probably has no experience to know whether it is or not.
They won’t remake it cause it would require passion and care, something the soulless corp doesn’t have.
You can still play this in your phone with a PS2 emulator 🙂

Looks more like another “hey guys did you know that ue sucks” post rather than something about an actual Burnout remaster. By the way, there is some sort of Burnout 3 remaster, called Dangerous Driving from former Burnout developers. And yes it is powered by Unreal Engine and it looks great and runs great.

Back when we had racing games that weren’t trying to cater to the super niche simulator fanbase.
I just want to do crazy jumps and smash people into walls.
Still will stand by NFS Underground 1/2 as the peak, though.
Burnout 3 has aged incredibly well. It’s a game you can still enjoy today without the the “well, it was good for its time” excuse.
