I have played Cyberpunk 2077 four times. I have tried all the character backgrounds. But I have always leaned into the netrunner stealth gameplay style. This time, for my fifth playthrough, I have decided to go with the Sandevistan Katana Ghostrunner build, and I just wanted to share how it feels like a whole different game.
I'm still half way into building a maxed out character, and still V already feels on her way to become a super hero. Combats with multiple enemies feel crazy awesome. Dashing, double jumping, going all in for super fast Katana strikes. There's nothing like it.
If you haven't tried it yet, give it a go. You will not be disappointed.
Burning Night City like a true samurai!

Sandevistan is my fave.
Gets…schit…DONE!
Sandy samurai is op asf and fun asf. Sandy and silenced power pistol is also op and fun asf.
I started with that build and it was probably a mistake lol. Immediately trivialized all combat because I could just jump in, cut everything to pieces, and deflect bullets at everyone I missed instead of being shot.
I think I frightened Takemura when we were sneaking into that saka factory and instead of running away with him I ran out and slaughtered an army of mecha tanks and super soldiers in like, a minute.
Now run all the Wakako gigs to get the most important piece of the build.
a build that I wanted to be able to do would be Sandevistan with a quick hack, it’s mantis blades or monowire, imagine the thieves, the enemies that are far away spam the quick hack is up close and active, Sandevistan and makes mincemeat of the caba, it’s a perfect build for short, medium and long distances, and it would be a very stolen multi class.
Your build sounds incredible and I think I will try the same myself next. A very interesting mixture.
Other than that though I just wanted to compliment the art you included – the shot is so cool!
Being able to time berserk when I’m at 15% hp an no healing items left only to literally smash the ground an get all my health an items back from it AND throw enemies like rag doll nuclear weapons is still the most gratifying experience I’ve had in this game
I honestly recommend sinking a few perks into Blunt and having a Baseball Bat in the rotation as well.
It doesn’t synergize as well with Sandy as it does a ‘Zerker, but there’s nothing like popping an Apogee and pulling a DBZ “knock a guy one way, get around him and hit him from the other side before he hits the ground” trick.
Plus you can use Gorilla Arms for the Body boost and have those perks work for them as well, and they’re also great for ragdoll shenanigans.
The full 20 and capstone isn’t strictly necessary but it is **fun.**
Yeah, I got hooked back in the day and after 2.0 ended up doing another katana build or two because combat became so much more kinetic.
Add knife to it, it’s hard at the beginning, but super rewarding
Maybe the terminology is off but does that just mean the implant that allows you to slow time?
Oh yeah my completions play through has this build. I walk into a room and they’re all dead before even noticing I’m there.
Slow time. Dash dash cut. Dash dash cut. Repeat.
The funnest build but unfortunately its one of the builds that do not work on super hard difficulty. Getting grazed fuckin hurts and elites often 1-2 shot you. Had to build out a proper quickhack playthrough for superhard
Good choice! Even trying Sandevistan + Gorilla Arms makes you feel like a demon, kinda like David Martinez when he punches the bully, but on steroids
Still my favorite build. Makes combat feel very “canonically V” especially paired with a gun like Comrades Hammer as my side arm.
There are four games in this game. The hacker, the COD, the metal gear Raiden, and the doom 2016
my current playthrough is a katana build too, id recommend trying biodyne berserk as well, the stats u get in berserk are insane for katana
Sandy and Guts is also a different game. Messy though….
Played my first time like that and i ended up having to put the difficulty settings almost to the max because it felt like i was cheating. I think its a general problem the game has because even playing a stealth netrunner its easy on normal difficulty but katana and sande is something else lmao
I go invisible, slow time to a crawl, draw my blade and then limbs go flying as heads soar through the air.
I never tried it before because I feel like using a controller makes the quick reflex movement a bit hard, can you (or anyone) let me know if it’s enjoyable with a controller?
How original.
Stealth sandy hammers is fun too. THWIP BONK THIWP BONK
Sandevistan/mantis blades was my build on my first playthrough, I was literally unstoppable. Having 20 body skill really makes you feel like a badass!
That’s a nice one, I’m currently on a baseball bat sandevistan build which is also nippy, like swooshing from one enemy to the next one like *clonk!* *thump!* *whoop!* is fun 😁
I’m on my second playthrough now, started off with a Berserk build but just swapped to Sandevistan. Never going back lmao
