Rain, in this case on Deston (not sure if it's exclusive) is very clearly on a 15s loop. Every 15 seconds, 3 very distinct "footstep sounds" can be heard from the left and 3 quieter ones from the right
This happens both outside and inside and has thrown me off so many times, making me paranoid, wondering if they were real footsteps. Before I knew it was just a part of the rain sound, I often frantically looked around for the person that was to my left. I've spent multiple minutes in total looking for ghosts, and now I'm repeatedly and frequently reminded of the bad audio design.

Use headphones
I like the environmental stuff. Like the flies, can’t hear them unless you are real close to them annoying AF have to move or be distracted. Possibly the pattern of the rain on the rock repeating. Was it the same on the grass?
