Congrats on the kid. Speaking from experience, it’s a harder but different game with (IMO) a lot more real life reward.
Plus the games do come back, in time.

The good news is you can have say five or six more kids – and all this will pay for putting them through college.

why would you pack this up? an infant does not give a shit if you play games

Congratulations on the spawn, internet stranger! We wish you and it health, wisdom and happiness! For mankind!
May I suggest to keep a select few treasures for display/random enjoyment? You can also keep something like an snes /sega setup with wireless controllers for the random gaming session.
Also I saw someone playing steam deck with the spawn.

Well, for now you’ll box em up. However when they hit age 5 you can teach them the world you grew up and loved by bringing out each gen of consoles you grew up with and replay those experiences with your kid.

Put a sheet of plexiglass over them and make it part of the decor.

Give it a few years and you’ll have an entire world of stories to introduce them to and hours of bonding to look forward to.
Congratulations!

It’s okay, they won’t be gone long. You can try to teach ’em to beat The Legend of Zelda before they can walk!

My kids now like my big box PC collection. It just took time to get past the trying to eat everything phase

Congrats on the new baby. I’d keep your fav games handy and make sure that kid grows up on OG gaming

1. Congrats on your upcoming life DLC.
2. Your new quest is to ensure their first sentence is ”Do a barrel roll!”

I had to do that, and 8 years later she plays Hogwarts with me (now I mostly just watch her play).
Never got the room back, it’s hers now.. but it’s worth it.
