I found this Alienware Aurora R11 on a local marketplace for €280.
Seller said: “No idea if it works, no SSD, sold as-is.”
I figured worst case, I could salvage the GPU…
Best case? Well, see for yourself:
Specs I discovered after testing:
NVIDIA RTX 3080 OEM
Intel Core i7-10700F
64GB DDR4 RAM
850W Dell Platinum PSU
Alienware AIO + case in great condition
Results after getting it running:
FurMark Max Temp: 78°C
Prime95 (before limiting boost): 100°C
→ Limited CPU to 99% in Windows = now stable at 80°C
Tested games run smooth as hell
Total cost: €280 + €20 for a used SSD
Honestly… this might be the best deal I've ever scored.
Runs whisper-quiet, temps are under control, performance is wild.

I got a pack of gum free once because the cashier only scanned one
That is a STEAL! Enjoy your system 😀
Is that the alien from game destroy all humans? It looks awesome.
Nice , 99 percent of the time untested just means broken with the seller trying to pull a fast one
Good Games !!! It is a very good price. The only problem, no evolurion because the case is small.
The figurine is the same price as your pc 😭
I don’t hate you at all 😂 happy gaming!
Great steal man, I would highly reccomend repasting and repadding everything if you are up for it, it would probably solve most of your thermal issues (maybe drill some speed holes too)

I’m jealous of that Crypto statue, that is so cool 😭
why didnt he test it ?
That is absaolutely crazy lol. Congrats!
I was going to say to check temps because Alienware, but it looks like you’ve got that covered. Quite a nice score, congrats!

GamersNexus has done plenty of reviews on Alienware PCs over the years.
They’re all universally terrible and effectively boil down to Dell not wanting to upgrade beyond a 25+ year old chassis design.
They’re just slamming modern hardware in a chassis that was never designed for it.
Supposedly, they’re getting better and finally listening, but still not worth buying just because of how proprietary the hardware design is as well as how quickly Dell abandons supporting them.
Also, their tech support is some of the worst on the planet.
For example: Take that power supply. You can only replace it with the same model. Dell has proprietary design integration between their PSUs and their motherboard (such as custom sockets on the motherboard for the PSU). It and the motherboard are effectively e-waste.
man say what you want about gamer gear and whatnot but that case is just clean as fuck. I like alienware.
BS bro
Awesome, now buy a real MOBO, a real PSU and a case with actual cooling and you might have a semi decent gaming rig.
Love the Crypto figurine
it actually looks so cool too for that price lol
Isn’t the cpu practically useless for gaming if you put it at 99% and disable boost?
Good deal for the price, but that i7-10700f CPU is pn the weaker side, I’ve had it before I upgraded, so talking from experience.
Nevertheless, good deal for that price still.
I hate your luck because it didn’t happen to me. But I REALLY hate your photography skills.
You need to check your thermals that case is notorious for overheating components
Thing is gonna go rogue and destroy all humans.
Amazing deal! You lucked out like crazy there.
Well that is a hell of a deal, nice find.
Where do I buy that damn figure?!
I would part it out and spend money on a new case, fan and a cooler
That’s a sick Crypto model as well!
Dude that is AWESOME!! Congrats buddy 🎉 Enjoy that amazing score and the high frame rates!!
I remember coveting these and the 3rd gen Ryzen version when they came out! That was kind of a go to to get your hands on a 3080
Great deal OP!
where u got that alien ?
Honestly kinda suprised that the didn’t try to sell it at retail value from when it was first purchased.
You’re gonna wanna replace the case or ventilate it. Those components produce a lot of heat for that case
I’d do a complete tear down, clean everything with compressed air, some anti static brushes and wipe down with a microfibre cloth.
Re-Paste both CPU and GPU.
It will take you 3 hours, 4 tops if you really take your time and you can extend the PC life expectancy.
I am more interested in that Crypto statue wtf that’s awesome
Aren’t these know to have terrible airflow and overheat everything inside?
