My dad was a 16 bit head gamer addicted to Konami. I have found this masterpiece in our rural family home.

  1. I just played through OR the other day using an emulator with save states and man can you tell they made it to steal money in the arcades. Just absolute WAVES of BS being thrown at you near the end.

Amazing game. Didn’t realise it was an arcade port until I was about 30. The music in the first level is 🔥

sunset riders? Played that game a ton at the arcades.

It’s a shame that this version isn’t as complete as the SNES version

And here I was thinking he was addicted to the wrestler.

  6. Underrated game, more shooter than a beat em up. Fun design work “bury me with my money!”

Konami made some great games back long long ago when I was a kid,lol

Did “16 bit head’ become a thing without me realizing it?

Either I’m forgetting how to read and comprehend or the title doesn’t make sense

I got that after playing it at an arcade cabinet in a store. It wasn’t the same but it was still great. Good enough for me to remember when and where I played it

Mildly disappointed that the first comment wasn’t “bury me with my money”.

Konami box art was unparalleled in the early 90’s.

I remember the Arcade version with it’s 4 player set up with multicolored gaming sticks to match the colors of the designated characters, similar to what Konami did with their popular TMNT arcade machine. I played the Arcade & Sega Genisis versions of Sunset Riders but for me this was one of those games that I started to play numerous times but would quickly lose interest in after the first or second level. I think it was a bit too difficult for me at my young age at the time & I just wasn’t invested enough in the theme.

16 bit head? You mean he played video games? During that era they were all 16bit. It’s not like we had a choice.

Just played this game for the first time in decades at the nearby barcade.  I forgot how great it is.
