Photo 5: I ordered a 3,5 inch usb hub for the left over bay, but it was black. I got the local hardware store to mix me a small bucket of paint, and a few coats later it matched pretty well!

Photo 7: For some reason there was space for a 80mm dan on the right side of the pc case, so I figured I'd put a fan there. Turned out to be pretty handy.

Photo 8 & 9: Idle and full load temps respectively.

The only thing left to do is order and install some sata to ide connectors to get the front fully working.

Let me know what you think of it!

    Lovely.

I’m always a fan of non-destructive sleeper builds.

Just wait for something to think it’s junk and throw it away

I like it. Problem with those old cases are they are heavy ass steel.

Damn. I would’ve guessed the plastic would bend under the weight!

S12III power supply? Of all the seasonic-branded PSUs, you had to pick a rebranded RSY unit and one of the 2 F-tier “Seasonic” ones (which aren’t even from seasonic, mind you)that lack some of the more important protections.

Your setup is great, but I can’t trust that PSU.

Good the only problem is that you have a time bomb in it, you’ll need to get a fire extinguisher nearby just like nvidia users

Just Curious but won’t the temps be on the higher side as the airflow won’t be as good as a modern case?
