  1. The console wars are well and truly dead. Long live this new golden age of gaming.

  2. Sony saw the profits Xbox is making lately porting their games everywhere and figured maybe this exclusive thingy isn’t gonna cut it for us anymore if we want more profits and please our investors.

If the next xbox has steam on it anyway, then what’s the point of exclusives? Tbh I assume that in 10 or 15 years, only Nintendo and pc will remain as platforms.

  4. This is going to piss a lot of diehard fanboys off lol

  5. And when/if this happens, we’ll still be here, waiting for the Bloodborne PC port.

  6. And with that, the console war seems to be officially coming to an end. If everything comes out on everything, this will be the golden era of gaming

Nintendo is the last of the big 3 to do exclusives. Interesting times ahead for the industry

People have been blaming Microsoft for buying Activision for the reason they are porting their exclusives (and maybe that is partially correct). But I have been saying Sony will do it too eventually. They were testing the waters with PC, and now with Xbox and Nintendo. They are going to eventually just port all their games. My prediction is that when the PS6 comes out. All their games will come to other platforms, but maybe a few months later unless it’s a live service game.

There will be riots if this comes to pass. Remember people lost their minds when Final Fantasy 13 came to 360 on day 1? The fanatics have been holding on thinking it was “only live service” games were coming. Just like how they’re holding on to thinking only old Playstation games are coming to PC.

All i need is shadow of the colossus remake port on PC. PLEASE Playstation

and just like that nintendo’s strategy of not prioritizing graphics has payed off massively for them in the end.

    kinda funny actually.

  12. Soontobebanned86

Shit happens, Nintendo will break eventually.

Just think only a few years ago Sony was hellbend on never letting anything Playstation out of its cage. We truly are in a golden era

Good. Games should reach bigger audiences.

I guess they’re starting to notice that console hardware hardly matters nowadays

  16. Carnemeko_Pairotto

I can tell you this, I’m not paying for Playstation Plus to use MP for a game I bought on Steam.

  17. Are Sony fanboys still gonna be coping about PlayStation going 3rd party?

  18. Like I said a few months ago It’s official, Nintendo has won the Console War

Putting your games on other platforms to expand your brand’s reach doesn’t sound like such an absurd idea now, does it?

  20. Sly Cooper 1-4 HD Remastered for either Steam or Switch 2 is all I want out of this news. But they couldn’t even release a Sly Cooper Movie or a fifth game so I’m sure it’s just a pipe dream.

Not to interested in their modern IPs if they were any good they wouldn’t need to release on other platforms.

Ugh, I miss the days when it was clear that what you were buying was the best value. Now each console feels like a risk.
