My laptop MSI Titan 18 HX A14VIG keeps overheating at 95°C.
I have repasted it three times yet, with no improvement. Following advices, I used twice PTM7950+Upsiren UX Pro Ultra, and for the third time ThermalGrizzly Kryonaut Extreme+Upsiren UX Pro Ultra.
Now I am wondering that maybe, I should not have gone for putty for VRAM and the rest. The manufacturer used sort of a paste (not sure of what this is, look at the first picture). And the heatsink is perfectly shaped to match differences in levels of components (second picture).
Other options are paste or pads. But originally the manufacturer didn’t use pads. Should I go for paste? Which one?
// side note : I have tried the software troubleshooting route already (new and clean Windows, undervoltage, check the power mode…)

95c is not overheating if you are playing high end games on high or ultra performance.
fans are clean and working properly?
Welcome to the MSI laptop life.
Make sure to clean everything very well, since you are applying paste directly to copper.
Get thermal paste that is good at filling gaps, since the surface looks to be uneven.
Replace the VRM paste with quality pads, just make sure to get the correct thickness, too little won’t work, too much can crack the solder.
