    A 4TB drive as a gift 🙂 , i like this

  2. Is this when two OS’s compete to the death and the one standing can rule the PC?

Which OS are you going with? I’ve been test driving Bazzite for the past two weeks on my main system. Everything seems to work fine.

  4. one of us, one of us.

I mean to be fair you could already dual boot, you just needed multiple partitions lol

Nice gift. More SSD storage is always welcomed.

You can still dual boot lin and win off a single C: drive. I have done it.

oh thats nice, a 4 TB gift is like a love confession in my book.

Btw this is a QLC drive so be careful about what important data you have on it and make sure anything critical is backed up

only use arch if you hate yourself. or really like fixing your system instead of using it

An A/B switch for NVME would be cool. Then you could switch drives without worrying about all the dual booting shite

  13. Noice. I use the 500gb model for my boot drive. Good m.2

Wait till they learn Windows fucking DESPISES dual-boot and will cannibalise the Linux partition/drive

I have the same one (but 512GB one), when I bought it I didn’t knew much about SSDs and I was just halpy over getting an SSD upgrade (yes I was on HDD earlier).

But later I got to know it isn’t that great…
It’s DRAM-less, and as it gets 70-80% the speeds drop from advertised 3.5k MBps rd and 3k MBps wr to 2.9k MBps rd and 800k MBps wr 😵

My boot time has also increased but still better than what I used to get with the HDD 😀

Now we watch the two duke it out for dominance over the pc

  17. Remember to be afraid of Windows. Literally. It is very good at nuking other drive’s boot partitions. If you need to reinstall it, make sure your linux drive is disconnected.
