I got my first gold at 275 cases and my second at 315. I’m not at 520 cases and yet to see anything worthwhile. Just a ST BS Bad trip 😢 I will be retiring from opening for at least 6 months. The two golds had me hooked
you are wrong mathematically its indeed possible: drop rate of 0.64% so its not 0 and its not (officaly) hard coded to be impossible so you got a .64% times .64% chance of it happening what would be a 0.00004096% chance unlikely to ever happen yes impossible to ever happen definetly not

The chances of getting 2 golds back to back in the next 2 cases you open are minuscule. The chances the next case has a knife after opening a knife is exactly the same as just opening another knife
I understand that case openings is and has been a massive thing in the CSGO community for a very very long time now. But lately after researching the topic a bit I feel like it’s starting to become something in itself thats not part of the game anymore and is going to bomb. I have all the respect in the world for Valve but they need to stop catering and platforming this whole setup cause its still going to be the cause of their failure sometime in the future
Technically nothing is left to chance, every item in every case is as is. you dont roll for anything, you literally open a "chest" to grab your item.
So its not up to chance that you get you got that knife, glove, etc, the "gold" was in the case since the case was generated. You merely got the right case and opened it. So this is absolutely possible, not saying this one is- just the scenario.
The X-Ray update (CS:GO) taught us all this. hope this clears things up for some who werent around for that update.

The chances of 3 gold gold gold in a row are actually 50/50 because you either open 3 golds back to back or you dont
