$79 for a PS5 is wild. Even if it is the digital version, that’s still crazy cheap.
80 usd for a disk reader is crazy.
Enjoy expedition 33 tho, awesome game.
Maybe one day they can just put the disc drive in the console, sort of like how we don’t have to buy standalone memory cards anymore.

I’m tempted to go out and buy the game again just for the physical. I don’t really buy physical anymore, but it’d be nice to display something Clair Obscur related on my shelf.
Is the disk playable? Say the most games need a day one patch. And the stuff on the disk is a mesh. So if they pull the server that has the updates and patches. Or the server that the game links too it’s still unplayable.

Except the disc drive needs internet to get installed can only be installed in one ps5 and the console is only going to work as long as the boot drive.
Enjoy the game it is very good but the whole “digital license” is still a thing sense today’s consoles need the internet to work even worse on xbox its not the old days were you can blow the dust off turn it on with a disc copy and it just works.
Not to mention the pile of “disc” games that have a paper disc inside or a code to download the game heck the half disc half digital download bs.
