[Help] Zotac RTX 5080 AMP Extreme crashing everytime

Hey everyone, i´m a completly noob on this. Any help would be appreciate it 🙂

Trying to find a stable undervolt/OC balance for my Zotac RTX 5080 AMP Extreme Infinity. These are my stock max values:

  • Max Clock: ~2862 MHz
  • Voltage: 1.060 V
  • Power Draw: ~350 W
  • Temps: ~70°C

I'm trying to reach 3000 MHz while undervolting to improve temps and efficiency. I used MSI Afterburner and tried setting the curve manually.

So far I’ve tested:

  • 3000 MHz @ 0.985 V → crash
  • 3000 MHz @ 1.000 V → crash
  • 3000 MHz @ 1.025 V → still crashes

Without touching the memory. PL set to max 111%

I´m seeing a lot of people who can push 3000mhz almost on every voltage and i can´t do sht.

    These high end cards are binned to operate at the highest possible frequency, not necessarily the most efficiently though. Your card may need higher voltage to hit higher frequencies but may not do so well at lower voltages. First test out stock and max out the power limit and see if it crashes. If not, then the card is operating normally at what it’s rated.

    Also, I’d increase the fan curve because 70C on that card at 350W isn’t what it should be, and since hotspot temps aren’t recorded in this gen, your card may be getting hot and losing stability.

    Try to test your profiles at 70% fan curve and you should maintain temps in the 60C-65C range.

    Try to do a max overclock, max out voltage slider, power limit, and clock and memory speeds to confirm that your card is built for frequency and not efficiency.

    Moreover, it could be a bad driver. Install DDU (not the portable version), go into Safe Mode on Windows, remove the driver, and then install the latest one. Test your profiles again. And see if there are any changes.

    Maybe, just maybe, if you do all the above and it still doesn’t work properly, you may just have gotten unlucky with the silicon. :/

    That’s rather hot for this card…I never see my 5070 ti Zotac OC go over 60, even at 3000mhz(at .9v tho)

    Check your case cooling…

    These cards only pass an OC quality check and not a UV one…the boost for these cards vrs power is absurd
