The Grow a Garden Zen Egg was added to the game as part of the Zen update and offers you the chance to add new pets to your garden.

Getting a Zen Egg involves a little bit of luck and some Chi. If you’re lucky, then you might find yourself with first mythical pet – Kitsune!

With this in mind, let’s learn how to get the Zen Egg in Grow a Garden, including the Zen Egg pet traits.

Zen Egg

Cost: 30 Chi
Cost: 149 Robux
Rarity: Legendary
Hatch Time: 4 hours, 10 minutes
Obtainable: Yes

How to get the Zen Egg

The Zen Egg can be brought from the Zen Shop. Don’t worry if it’s not currently in stock! The Zen Shop stock refreshes every 30 minutes, so just pop back in a while to see if it’s for sale. Failing that, you can also buy the Egg for 149 Robux.

The Zen Egg costs 30 Chi and takes four hours and 10 minutes to hatch. So it’s one you’ll have to leave for a while before finding out which pet you’ve rolled for.

There are six Zen Egg pets, so let’s take a look at their odds…

Zen Egg Pet Traits

Here are the traits for all of the Zen Egg pets:

Pet
Trait

Shiba Inu
Every 56.57 seconds, it has a 15.17% chance to dig up a random seed

Nihonzaru
If you have the Hot Springs:
Bath in Hot Springs and boosts other pet’s passives by a small amount

Tanuki
Every 10:26 minutes does random actions in players garden every 10 minutes
Applies Tranquil mutation every 24:48 minutes

Tanchozuru
Every 10:25 minutes meditates for 10.20 seconds
Causes fruit within 15.20 studs to have a 5.10% chance every second to get the Tranquil mutation

Kappa
Every 7.49 minutes, sprays water on fruit within 26.16 studs to cause Wet mutation
Has 10.46% chance to replace Wet mutation with Bloodlit

Kitsune
Every 22:01 minutes causes other players fruit to mutate to either Chakra or Foxfire Chakra mutations. It then copies this fruit and gives it to owner. It can also sometimes mutate a plant into the event rarer FoxFire mutation

In our opinion, the best pets from the Zen Egg are the Kitsune and Tanchozuru.

Having the Tanchozuru ensures you can get the Tranquil mutation even when the Zen Aura event has ended, which is quite useful. Yet it’s not as useful as the Kitsune pet! Not only does the Kitsune offer the Chakra and Foxfire Chakra mutation, but it gives this mutation to both you and another player. Helpful and kind!

Best of luck hatching the Zen Egg! And make sure to check out our Grow a Garden codes page page seeds list.
