If you told me 7 years ago that Asian CS would have a better year than Danish, Brazilian and NA CS I would have called you crazy

It really is great to see Asian CS showing off what they can do. TYLOO, MongolZ, Lynn Vision are all super fun teams to watch, plus you have the other teams hovering around like Chinggis and Rare Atom.

Brazilian CS is still good though, paiN and FURIA have been cooking.

It’s really only Danish CS that is full on dying.

    nonono.. not even just Asian

    exclusively fucking Mongolian

if you put like 5€ on that 10 years ago you could retire.

I honestly predicted that the Chinese team would dominate the game… but a team from Mongolia? Didn’t expect them to make it this far, ngl. Massive respect

  4. championnnnnn

i love that it’s also *very* easy to like these teams. tyloo especially with jee

  5. Mongolz taking it to Vitality, Tyloo winning fissure playground, Lynn Vision punching well above their weight. This really is starting to feel like a new era for Asian CS.

  6. Especially Mongolz is really impressive but it’s really insane that Danish CS has been this good if you take in consideration how small the country is.

With all the people investing in CS in Asia it was just a matter of time when we finally would see some teams stepping up from there.

Nothing last forever. In ten years, you never know whos gonna be good. Things are circular

what tournament is this? did they just won a big tournament?

  9. huhyeahso

That gives you a sense of all the opportunities thrown away by NA and Brazilian cs all these years.

Bro saw the thread on hltv and went mmmm karma

  11. 7 years ago is 2018.

That year Tyloo beat BIG, MIBR, Renegades, Virtus.pro, NiP, Cloud9, everyone in China, and NaVi (bo3 vs. S1mple, electronic, Zeus, Edward & flamie)

In 2018 I probably would have assumed that Chinese CS will eventually take over, knowing how strong they are in other games.

I would probably call you crazy if you told me it would be the Mongolians playing a major final.

I hope all Russian players are banned from big tournaments.

  13. Not really. Esports can be highly volatile. New viewers r ake everything for granted.

  14. Kinda reminds me of when 1.6 tournaments started to include teams from China and South Korea, and those teams were keeping up with the top teams back then. Even introduced some new strats and mechanics. Probably helped that no one knew what to expect, either. Same effect when Brazilian teams (more specifically MIBR) also came into the scene.

I’m more suprised asian teams don’t dominate the scene by now…

Nothing can measure up to the hunger and drive that teams show when they have nothing and come out of nowhere, it’s just sad that it comes with playing 10+hrs every day and sacrificing most other aspects of their life
