So basically i just watched the anime Cyberpunk Edgerunner, i felt in looooove with this show, but even more with the universe and the ambiance!😍
So my question to you people, is there like general timeline with all that cyberpunk? Or is there like multiple universe? 🤔 Like i just bought the game (Cyberpunk 2077), that i wanna play soon, but if i wanna dive in this universe, is there books, movies, shows/animes or anything that i should start with or that you would recommend!?

cyberpunk is a genre, basically. the edgerunners series takes place in the universe of cyberpunk 2077 video game which in turn is based on the the series of tabletop roleplaying games titled cyberpunk (which also take place in night city and are mostly canon to edgerunners/2077.) it’s made needlessly confusing by the cyberpunk 2077 game and ttrpgs being titled simply “cyberpunk” because it’s like a horror game calling itself “horror 2020.” if you want more of that specific universe, check out the cyberpunk 2077 video game, comics and novel. if you want to dig into cyberpunk more generally, read william gibson’s sprawl trilogy and walter jon williams’ hardwired. there’s plenty more to watch and read but those two are foundational to the genre. have fun

I recommend playing Cyberpunk 2077 with path tracing on (Along with DLSS + Frame Generation On for Nvidia or if you have AMD GPU then FSR4 + Frame Generation On).
Playing the game with Path Tracing on while you walk through Night City especially at night time makes the neon lightning look insane.
There are comic books and books based on the Cyberpunk 2077, so I recommend checking that out. You can find it on Amazon or Google “Cyberpunk 2077 books”
Another game I highly recommend if you love the Cyberpunk genre is a game called Cloudpunk which is on Steam.
I also recommend a book called: Neuromancer
