I am trying the same, reached to ace master yesterday in eu.
1. Dont fight multiple people at once.
2. Dont fight in blue for kills.
3. Take hard cover whenever possible, dont take risks looting in open area.
4. Assess area before going into a compound, doors open? Any sound? Any vehicles near?
5. Never land in hot zones, too random fights.
6. Go in from outside circle to inner, always stay on the edge of the white circle, hunt ppl coming from blue.
