3 years ago I built my pc. Never regretted spending nearly 2k. It does everything I want it to do.

I just look at it like proud parent and then I ask myself if there’s a way to make it quite.

I do have 3D CAD software installed on my pc, but I quite frankly only use my PC for gaming with high graphics, since I don’t work from home.

  4. I’m glad I built a PC. No more laptop struggles and compromise. Now I can have a flight sim up + other programs (even another light, light-mid game) and not run out of resources. Warms up the room like crazy though this time of year

My current one should be in my flair, an amazing start of my 2025 going from a mobile 10th gen i7 + Iris Plus Graphics / GeForce MX250 + 16GB + some obnoxiously high pitched fans (why HP, why)

edit: that’s not to say the laptops were bad for the time they really carried a whole lot but looking back there was so much compromise

Nope, not me, absolutely not, totally worth the expense, using it to play top tier ultra high end games. I’m only playing Battletech a bit, in between my real gaming. Yup, for sure. And look how cool it is, and see these benchmarks, and just check out these temps. Pretty great, uh?

  8. I don’t even need a new PC to experience this.

I’ve bought a new keyboard and mouse and my usage dropped drastically after that.

And I’ve been debating getting a new monitor for a while now since the current one I have is an old TN panel, but also thinking I don’t really need it as I would still be staying on the same resolution and then what’s really the point (besides probably better color accuracy and higher refresh rate my PC won’t handle)?

False. Spend several hours modding every thing and fucking with settings

After that it’s hours of setting up bios, fan curves, undervolts, overclocks, and running benchmarks.

Then kicking my own ass over the stuff I just setup going on sale or better do dads being announced just weeks later.

Just upgraded my GPU from GTX 970 to RTX 5070 & replaced my 1080p @ 60Hz monitor with a 4K @ 144Hz one. Also had to get a new PSU.

It might as well be a new PC, I am in awe 👨‍🚀🖥

It took me 15 years but I did it, and I’m just chillin with that weight lifted.
